Our story

A Ugandan snack company, built around farmers.

Dalilang Foods & Beverages is a Ugandan FMCG manufacturer producing packaged snacks — potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and peanut butter — alongside spring water, fruit nectars and sparkling refreshers.

Dalilang started in 2014 with a simple frustration: Uganda grows some of the best potatoes, plantain and groundnuts in the region, yet most of the snacks on shelves were imported. We set out to change that with a small fryer, a handful of farmers and one rule — nothing leaves the plant unless we would eat it ourselves.

Today we run a food-grade processing and packaging line producing potato crisps, gonja chips, coated peanuts and stone-ground peanut butter. Raw materials are graded on intake, washed, processed in short batches and sealed the same day, so the pack that reaches a kiosk in Gulu tastes the way it did leaving the line.

Growth has been deliberate. We add capacity when our farmer network can supply it, and we invest in training, storage and fair, predictable payment schedules so the people who grow our raw materials grow with us.

Core values

About us & local impact

Snacks that put Ugandan farmers first.

Every crisp starts in a Ugandan garden. We buy potatoes, plantain and groundnuts directly from smallholder growers, wash and process them in a hygienic, food-grade plant, and seal each batch while it is still at its crunchiest.

  • Farmers first

We contract smallholder growers season by season and pay on agreed schedules, so families can plan ahead.

  • Hygienic processing

Washing, slicing, frying, bottling, seasoning and sealing happen in a controlled, food-grade environment.

  • Freshness you can hear

Short batches and immediate sealing mean the crunch in the pack is the crunch off the fryer.
